Walking Saturday
March/31/2007

After breakfast Mr J and I went out for a walk, all day. Mmm... Bought some shrimps etc for lunch at the harbour.

Church by Kent Karlsson, I love his church of mirrors.

Gothenburg is so beautiful now. We have been walking to Hisingen, the biggest island of Sweden.

This morning...
March/30/2007

...as I walked to school. It's Spring and it's Friday.

Hi
March/29/2007

Sunday
March/25/2007

There's something wrong with both my camera and my body. I've been working too much this week. My back + arm + shoulder go numb all the time and when they don't go numb, they are cold or hurt very bad. Don't know if I'll be able to finish my project. But I'm able to have wonderful breakfasts in the sun, yesterday we were at a French café having baguettes, croissants etc and this morning orange juice and ciabatta. Took a few pictures to test my camera and before it said error I took this:

I'll be back.

...
March/23/2007

Went on a fabulous walk today taking lots of pictures of beautiful things. It was sweet weather and I sneaked into a building with beautiful floors and stairs... When I came home my Compact Flash-card had broken... So, no pictures. Though I had very fun taking them. But of course I'm a bit sad about losing them... I don't like that it's so easy to get angry/sad/annoyed from this kind of things.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Thursday
March/22/2007

I find dying tulips very beautiful.

Some unfinished spreads from my book, so far...

The mother of the girl in the story.

Yesterday night Mr J and I celebrated his birthday together at Caleo, a restaurant with fabulous cocktails and food. He had duck and I had lamb and we made the different noises of the animals while eating. Not so tasteful maybe... But made lots of fun (especially after some cocktails). And don't worry, the restaurant was so full of noise noone else heard us. Have been sleeping until lunch time and then we went out to Kafé Marmelad for some breakfast while the others were having lunch. This is a beautiful day :)

Going home again
March/21/2007

Good morning Odense.

Ud! To Malmö where we had falafel (Malmö is the city of falafel ;))

In Lund there's a church from the 12th century which is very beautiful.

The lady in the ladies room in Lund.

It's already Wednesday but the pictures are from Saturday. Since then I've been busy working with my project, which has to be finished next week. Today I met my supervisor to talk about the book. And eat cupcakes:

Lübeck Glück & Marzipan
March/20/2007

The hotel floors were great.

Bye bye Lübeck! (Charming pictures ;))

Lübeck was so sweet. Went to Kiel on small roads this day and via Flensburg to Odense (Denmark), another city of Marzipan.

If you want to check out some Swedish illustrators, visit Illustratörcentrum. And Woo. And good old Agent Form.

Rigshospitalet & Autobahn
March/19/2007

Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. I love the Lars Von Trier-series Riget (The Kingdom) (which takes place in this building) so much and the since the last time I watched it Mr J & I have been talking fake-Danish. This turned out to be a great thing - for the first time I understood what the Danish people said.

Wir fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n auf der Autobahn. It was hard not to turn right to Berlin.

Spent some hours in Hamburg, which was a huge city. This house was in a suburb somewhere in the Lübeck direction. Lübeck (the city of Marzipan) was so very sweet. Hmm... I really didn't take many pictures on this trip. Had so much fun that I forgot!

Roadtrip
March/18/2007

I love roadtrips and on Wednesday we sat on the couch and had lunch. Both Mr J and I were so tired of our projects and needed some distance and came up with the idea to go to Germany. Two hours later we sat in a rented car going down to Malmö where we had some dinner at a very nice café with beautiful floor.

After dinner we checked in at a hotel in Copenhagen and went for a walk in the night looking at empty streets. It was so sweet. That city is so beautiful, they care so much about the details. I love it. Don't have any pictures though, was busy looking at all the pretty houses.

Good ideas are great
March/14/2007

I got an idea, I'll be back!

Foggy day
March/14/2007

This day started just perfect. I didn't get up when I awoke, instead I stayed in bed and read a book. Then a short walk with my Mr J in the park and when I came home I found Lisa standing outside my door wanting to come in. Breakfast with a friend at my favourite café and since I came home I've been very creative finding out important things to do instead of work (like taking pictures of my face in tights, eating soup). I think tomorrow is the perfect day to meet my supervisor, I'm really stuck now.

My foggy neighbourhood.

The girl is sad. I'm pretty happy. How are you?

Blue Monday*
March/12/2007

I don't have many things in the colour blue. In the picture above you can see all the things I could find in my kitchen.

* Fabulous song by New Order

A visitor
March/11/2007

My friend Lisa is here today. She sits on everything I'm doing, so I guess I'll have to throw her out soon to be able to get some work done ;) She loves tulips.

Windowshopping
March/10/2007

Saturday morning is a perfect morning to take a slow walk down to Röda Sten to wake up and be able to start the day in a great way. I also took a picture of this on my way down.

You eat and then you die
March/09/2007

Lazy Friday... Well needed for the coming weekend of work. Have had sushi for lunch with Mr J, my sister & her friends. Then tea at a café with Mr J and... Greek food for early dinner at our local Greek restaurant. I'm full! :)

This is going to be such a lovely and lazy sweet night, I'm going to lie in my bed reading all night... Have a wonderful Friday night!

Walk
March/08/2007

The foggy park this morning & my mug of tea after the walk in the park.

This seal waved at me this morning! So sweet.

My sister and her friend are coming to Gothenburg today and tonight we'll have pizza night! Mr J and I had pizza night together with a couple of other friends yesterday night as well. I love pizza ;)

So another question: What is your favourite tea?

Ps. I've posted a couple of new pictures to the Adolf's House-set on my flickr. I'll be posting some more soon.

Some of today's work

A beautiful bookcover

Mr J is making jalapeño poppers and we have a new cooker, the old one is meeting its family outdoors.

Things to eat & drink
March/06/2007

Working at home is great - it's always close to the fridge ;)

Thanks a lot for your comments on yesterday's update, it's been great reading about where you all come from. Thanks!

Mini Mr A
March/05/2007

I crochet while thinking. It's only the fun part of my last project left, which feels so good. Today I made this little plumber, Mini Mr A. He's pretty much like my old character, but he's got arms and a pointy hat.

I don't know my readers that well so - a curious question: Where do you live? :)

Sunday
March/04/2007

I cut Mr J's hair and he cut mine. Except from that we have had a wonderful weekend, with dinner at friends', party at school and today we've been walking for five hours. Feet are hurting in a fabulous way. Have had some great food, Mr J made me a so tasty risotto yesterday and today we had pizza in my old (really old) neighbourhood. It's been sunny, you could even feel the warmth from it and almost no wind. It feels like Spring!!

Have a nice weekend!
March/02/2007

Aaaah Friday. I'll be back :)

City
March/01/2007

I like to walk around in the city looking at buildings, I can't get enough. Today it's been raining (please don't stop, I'd love the snow to disappear) and I've been walking around to get some inspiration instead of being home waiting for the inspiration to fall over me.

Some other inspiration:
Eroné makes beautiful illustrations.
Dekor has a beautiful flash intro.
I've fallen in love with this illustration of London, made by Paddy Molloy.
I love my boyfriend's new character.
