The last day of November
November/30/2006

My man is making pizza for us and I am going to try to relax (tomorrow: a presentation and then sell some stuff at the christmas market at school).

Out walking
November/29/2006

Spent almost the whole day walking and eating. Walking to the sushi restaurant, walking from the sushi restaurant, walking to another restaurant... Walking + eating = a great combination. Here are some things I saw on my way:

School view. Like these houses a lot.

An illustration I made yesterday.

My mother called me yesterday night to tell me this:
She was at a shop with Alice & Bibbi-Lo (my sister's kids) when suddenly Bibbi-Lo (1 year) took some christmas decoration and run out of the shop. Alice (3 years) looked very angry and yelled: "WOMAN - STOP!!" to her little sister. Sweet :)

Tuesday again
November/28/2006

Selfportrait, taken a few days ago when the sun was actually (!!) shining.

Got this hyacinth from Mr J's grandmother, looking forward to see which colour it is and to feel its scent, mmm...

And look at these gorgeous links:

Amusement
November/26/2006

We joined the ladies to the amusement park to visit their christmas market. Had Glühwein and dried reindeer, yummy.

Let me present Sir Elton and Little Miss Maid :)
Hope you all had a sweet weekend, mine has been great and I look forward to the next one.

Chocolate Saturday
November/25/2006

Walking home from an intense party night with the ladies, red wine and reindeer in the belly. Looking at the christmas decoration all over town.

Home all day long reading a book, preparing for next weekend's christmas market, baking chocolate cake for tomorrow... Allowing myself to have real weekends is fantastic. I've banned school work on Saturdays and Sundays :)

Details from home
November/24/2006

Different players in different shapes. Love them both.

This ear is great, perfect for my small hands to hold.

Tonight we are meeting mr J's other women (sister, mother, grandmother) at one of my absolute favourite restaurants, Caleo, to have some fabulous food. A great start on a great weekend together with the ladies.

A small friday reflection: My father was born in the 50's, my mother in the 60's, me in the 70's and my sister in the 80's (she got her driver's licence today - CONGRATULATIONS!).

And some weekend inspiration:
Lydia Bradbury - sweet illustrations (and I can't help still being very fascinated by the internet, to be able to see her work all the way from New Zeeland).
Diego Fermín - just fantastic, I have no other words.
Jillian Tamaki - energetic
Thinkmule - always great.

Thursday
November/23/2006

Picture taken at the allotment garden close to my house. A very beautiful place to walk through in the summer.

Gary Baseman has a new website.
Kolla - exhibition at my school.
Svenskt porslin is a nice place to visit every now and then.

Zebra sushi
November/22/2006

I have been wanting these cups for six years, but can't really afford them. They are so so beautiful, their name is Zebra.

Yesterday's sushi was fabulous. We were sitting in the window on the floor under a naked bulb drinking Sapporo and having (a little too much) sushi. So cozy and lovely, while the rain was falling outside.

Sleeping
November/21/2006

Tuesday means selfportrait most weeks. Have been busy all day cutting different papers. Evening means sushi at Kafé Japan, yummy.

Camilla has some new prints in her shop. Sweet!

The Darkness
November/20/2006

It almost didn't get light today. My world is a thick grey mass. Just look out from the (dirty) kitchen window:

It's crazy.

Candles are the best, just look at the sweet shadow from the candleholder. Reminds me of cupcakes... :)

Have been busy all day making moodboards, trying to describe my new project in pictures to present on Wednesday.

Blue & Yellow
November/19/2006

After cleaning the basement I found a scarf I made two years ago. I like the idea and I'm going to make a black and white version of it to fit my outfit.

Some sweet friends of ours were here today for some fika (means having coffee/tea and something (often sweet) to eat in Swedish). Very cozy.

Basement Saturday
November/18/2006

There's so much spiderweb in the basement. Saw a huge (for being in Sweden) spider today...

...while sorting stuff to keep/throw away.

The creativity has been dead for a while, I hope to get better next week. The blog is more fun that way :) Now I'm going to have a cup of tea and stick my nose into the cake I've baked for tomorrow. Yummy.

Relaxing Friday
November/17/2006

Fridays are the best, even now when it's dark and actually kind of depressing. Happy though not to live where I grew up (around christmas it's almost light for a couple of hours) :)

One great way to relax is when someone is drawing on your feet. Schöne Wochenende!

Concert hall
November/16/2006

Listening to the Gothenburg symphony orchestra was amusing, having wine in the foyer with some of my classmates was even better. I have a tendency to fall asleep when I'm at the cinema, theatre, listening to lectures at school, watch TV, read a book etc. Managed to fall asleep only once yesterday night. Wow ;)

Cookies
November/15/2006

Today I've been baking Kangos bisquits (Kangoskakor). Both my Grandmothers used to bake these when I was a child so it was fantastic to eat them again.

Hey sweetie!

Tomorrow night I'm visiting the Konserthuset for a look around the house ending with a concert (the symphony orchestra). School project, nice!

Tuesday
November/14/2006

I can't believe it's been four days since my last update! Have been completely out of order, feeling so tired of digital stuff etc. This picture is actually the first one I've taken in some days... It's been a wonderful weekend, have been reading a couple of books (two of them where the stories were located in Kiruna, the town I spent my first ten months of my life in).

The End of the Week
November/10/2006

The princess scarf is finished & is over 2 meters long.

I'm sitting in the armchair reading books, thinking of nothing else. This is the first time I actually feel relaxed for real. It took me almost twentyeight years.

Thursday
November/09/2006

As expected, I'm feeling so much better from all the fruit and vegetables. Today I've been walking pretty much, doing some shopping for tonight. Have been in a real weekend-mood and today has been a fabulous day. Our neighbour is coming over for some company, he's the same age as my father and has so many fun stories to tell.

On today's walk mr J & I went to Kafé Marmelad for some chai latte outdoors and there was a fabulous bullterrier puppy sitting there looking at us. I fell in love...

Hi Hello
November/07/2006

A little Hello today.

New week
November/06/2006

My illustration for the magazine Gringo, published today (though not in the Gothenburg issue).

Beautiful garbage. I'm living with a man who organizes things beautifully without even thinking of it.

At Your Service
November/05/2006

Miss At Your Service was finished yesterday and now I have quite many softies for the Christmas market. Fun!

This morning we got up pretty early and took a long long walk down to Röda Sten to look at the latest graffiti and the sea. Then a detour home. Some pictures from the walk:

Wish you all a sweet Sunday :)

Morning view
November/04/2006

Some mornings you just wake on the wrong side so I decided to stay in bed for a while, fell asleep without a pillow and slept for over an hour more. Woke up happy and content. My mother (we call her Buddha) is always telling me I have to become more mindfulness and I'm trying so hard and this morning it worked. I've always been a person very much focused on results and never really enjoyed what's happening around me now and this really isn't good for anyone. So I'm trying very hard and I'm feeling better every day.

In my new Buddha-life I'm trying to eat more fruit and vegetables, went to Hemköp this morning and bought many kilos of them. Have to start with some kind of exercise, like walking and yoga, again, because my body is breaking apart. Studying and working as an illustrator doesn't really take care of your body :)

Inspiration Thursday
November/02/2006

My addiction. I've been crocheting so much my neck hurts and my hands were acting strange last night. The Christmas market is in four weeks, so there's no hurry :)

I'm surfing around for some inspiration. Have found some nice illustrators, like Courtney Reagor.
Click Bryce Shelton if you want to visit a fairytale.

November snow
November/01/2006

New month, I've put up a little link to the left, called Links (wow). Perfect wake up this morning: white roofs, white grass, white cars. Windy. I like November.

A gift from my sister many years ago. Perfect place for my chai tea.

Thought of today: I wonder how many Japanese cannibals who've made sushi of their victims.
