Last day of vacation September/30/2006 Bye bye Greece. Greece is still in my head. The sun, the sea, the animals... My parents went home this afternoon and I'm having a slow and lazy weekend. Nice. From Patmos to Samos September/29/2006 Yesterday, after finishing our latest school project, we went out for dinner with my parents who are here for a couple of days. The days have been filled with different things to do and now it's finally weekend. Wish you all a great one! Bye bye Patmos and swimming old ladies. Hello Samos: Holy smoking Patmos September/28/2006 Rent a moto September/27/2006 More vacation pictures, me and mr J are busy doing school stuff and there's not much time for other things at the moment. One day we rented a moped and drove around Patmos, it was lovely, and visited the Psili Ammos beach (wonderful wonderful wonderful greek salad on a tavern with feet in the sand). La dolce vita September/24/2006 La dolce vita includes swimming in the aegean sea, drinking tea, looking at dogs playing, eating fresh figs, walking etc. Vacation pictures September/23/2006 The first day of our vacation we landed on Samos and had lunch waiting for the flying dolphin to Patmos. I needed a vacation... September/22/2006 ...and I took vacation, me and my mr J went to Greece for one week, just like mr Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys (though he went to Santorini). We've been on Patmos, a very beautiful island. Tonight we were in Risto's (a neighbour) kitchen to welcome him home to Sweden after being in Macedonia by his mother for four weeks and he told us about his childhood on Patmos (we didn't know when we went there!). It was very exciting. We had some wine around his kitchen table listening to stories from Macedonia and to the Doors, which is his favourite band. A cozy night. Patmos is the island where the apostle John went for a couple of years and wrote the Book of Revelation. This is a picture of the little town Skala, where we lived, taken from Chora. We have had such a lovely vacation with so much swimming, sun, food, icecreams, mopeds, dogs, cats, figs etc etc. I'll post more pictures when I have the time. Now it'll be kind of a busy week to take back what we've missed from school. It's good to be home now that I feel so relaxed. Have been a busy lady the last couple of days with presentations and stuff at school etc. We have been watching films like The Corporation and so on, which means it has been much environment/echology/end-of-the-world-stuff at school. Brain is full of information, could need a vacation :) Foggy morning September/11/2006 Passing through the forest this morning it was damp and beautiful. That little tree was shining bright green, so pretty. After school we sat on a café in Haga looking at people filling our bellies with chocolate cake, chai latte etc. Crochet September/10/2006 Mr Swimmer (sad because he's no beauty and lost his beret while swimming in the big big sea). I use my Eames plastic chairs as photo studio when I take pictures of my softies, they are great! Have started to crochet Miss Golddigger. Happy Sunday! Saturday September/09/2006 We passed a fleamarket open late this Saturday night, cozy. Beautiful sun both outdoors and indoors. It has been a lovely Saturday, walking in the sun having some icecream on the way from Röda Sten, pizzabaking... Read books and a long long walk to Nakayoshi, the best place for sushi in town. Talked to her owner today and he seemed happy she's got friends :) One sad thing is that their other cat (HER name is Doris) is lost :( Eating too much September/07/2006 The pigeons were eating potatoe chips today and we shared a biiig double burger (my brain and eyes said yes but my belly said nooo). Pretending to be in Vienna. I drew on Mr J's t-shirt last night and made this little character, Miss Button: Mr CandyDandy September/06/2006 Mr CandyDandy is born. I love the Autumn September/05/2006 Our small bathroom is finished and it's very cozy. I've been home with a cold today, but in the evening I cheated and went to a dinner at Johanna's for some great company and sweet autumn walk. Now I have to rest :) Good night. One year September/04/2006 Yesterday my mr J and I spent the whole day together celebrating our anniversary; officially one year together now. We cooked some really fabulous food and ate for hours and then we walked around pretty dizzy from some amarone etc. It was a wonderful night. Haven't been creating anything, haven't been browsing the internet anything - I feel so off :) In a good way. Now it's September - one of my favouritemonths. Unfortunately I haven't got any pictures to share this time. Bis dann!
